Principal Engineer of Platform DevOps at Wavelo (Tucows) | UK Remote (GMT)

I build secure, self-service infrastructure platforms and CI/CD systems that tighten the feedback loop from code to cloud to customer. With 7+ years spanning platform engineering, SRE, and DevOps across telecom, FinTech, aerospace, and legal tech; I specialise in helping multidisciplinary teams ship faster while improving reliability, operational efficiency, and developer experience.

Day to day, that means: Terraform and GitOps for infrastructure as code; GitHub Actions for CI/CD pipelines; OpenTelemetry, Grafana, and Prometheus for observability; Policy as Code and zero-trust security for compliance; and FinOps discipline to keep cloud spend accountable. I've led migrations that saved $850k in annual licensing, built compliance platforms from scratch, and spoken at conferences on security and governance in infrastructure orchestration.

I care about developer experience as much as system reliability. Whether it's defining an internal developer platform roadmap, mentoring engineers on DevSecOps best practices, or writing about merge queues and DORA metrics; I want the teams I work with to move confidently and autonomously.
