Summary of Changes

Hello @jeetburman, I'm Gemini Code Assist1! I'm currently reviewing this pull request and will post my feedback shortly. In the meantime, here's a summary to help you and other reviewers quickly get up to speed!

This pull request addresses an organization-wide initiative to remove Codecov integration from the repository. The changes primarily involve eliminating Codecov-related configuration and workflow steps, streamlining the CI process by removing an external dependency while preserving the capability for developers to generate coverage reports locally.

Highlights

  • Codecov Integration Removal: Removed all Codecov upload steps from the go-testing-ci.yml GitHub Actions workflow.
  • Configuration File Deletion: Deleted the .github/codecov.yml configuration file, which previously defined Codecov settings for the repository.
  • Local Coverage Generation: Ensured that the ability to generate code coverage reports for local development remains intact, despite the removal of the Codecov integration.
Ignored Files
  • Ignored by pattern: .github/workflows/** (1)
    • .github/workflows/go-testing-ci.yml

Code Review

This pull request removes the Codecov integration by deleting the .github/codecov.yml configuration file. This change is consistent with the stated goal of removing Codecov as part of an organization-wide effort. The change is straightforward and I found no issues.

Looks like there is a failed check in the CI...
However, the failure is from .github/workflows/kanvas.yml which references a non-existent action mesherylabs/kanvas-snapshot. This is a pre-existing issue in the repository that exists on master branch.

This PR only modifies go-testing-ci.yml and removes codecov integration as requested.
